School Council
‘Leaders and staff have helped pupils gain a clear understanding of right and wrong and of personal responsibility. As a result, pupils enjoy working on the school council and are polite in their lessons and round the school. Staff help pupils to learn about democracy through, for example, visits to the House of Commons. Leaders and staff teach respect for the law through assemblies and invite local police officers to come into school to talk with the pupils’.

A school council is group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school. A school council meets – usually with a teacher present – to discuss and sort out problems. Members of the school council will then be responsible for carrying out the ideas that have been agreed to improve their educational experience.
I started Wisdom in Year 5. My favourite lessons are PE, ICT, English and Islamic studies. When I grow up I want to be an architect.
